Our Mobile Home Moving Cancellation Policy at a Glance
This page explains our mobile home moving cancellation policy in plain language so you know exactly where you stand if your plans change. We’ve designed our terms to be fair to you, while reflecting the real planning work that begins as soon as a move is booked: route review, permit coordination, scheduling, and crew assignment. The sooner you let us know about a change, the more flexibility we can offer.
This policy works alongside our Service Agreement and our Insurance & Claims Policy. Read together, they form the complete picture of how Interstate Mobile Home Movers protects every customer from booking through final inspection.
Booking Deposit & Mobile Home Moving Refund Policy
To reserve a move date, Interstate Mobile Home Movers requires a deposit at the time of booking. The deposit secures your scheduled date and covers the planning, route review, and permit coordination that begin as soon as your move is confirmed. The deposit amount is stated in your written quote and is applied toward your total balance.
Our mobile home moving refund policy is straightforward: the more notice you provide, the more of your deposit is refundable. Specific tiers are listed in the next section.
Cancellation Tiers & Mobile Home Transport Cancellation Terms
The following mobile home transport cancellation terms apply based on how much notice you give before your scheduled move date:
Any amount paid above the deposit and above the costs already incurred on your behalf will be refunded under all tiers.
Non-Refundable Services & Fees
Certain costs are paid to third parties or committed on your behalf before moving day and cannot be returned once they are incurred. These non-refundable services and fees include:
- Permit fees — once a state or local transport permit has been purchased for your route, it is non-refundable.
- Escort vehicle costs — pilot and escort vehicles booked for your move date represent committed third-party services.
- Dispatch and route-planning costs — time spent mapping clearances, restrictions, and the safest path for your home.
- Third-party charges — any cost paid to outside vendors on your behalf in preparation for your move.
These deductions are itemized in your refund summary so you can see exactly how the final amount was calculated.
Rescheduling Your Move
If you need to move your date rather than cancel, we will do our best to accommodate you. Rescheduling with reasonable notice generally allows your deposit to transfer to the new date. Permits or escorts already arranged for the original date may need to be repurchased, and those costs would be added to your final invoice.
Mobile Home Movers Refund Conditions When We Cancel or Delay
If we must cancel your move for reasons within our control, your deposit is fully refundable. Some delays are outside anyone’s control — including severe weather, road or permit restrictions, unsafe site conditions, or mechanical issues. In those cases we will work with you to reschedule at no additional deposit, but we are not responsible for incidental or consequential costs caused by such delays.
Force Majeure & Circumstances Beyond Control
Neither party is responsible for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control — including natural disasters, severe weather, government action, road closures, regulatory changes, or other force-majeure events. Where such events make a scheduled move impossible or unsafe, we will work with you in good faith to reschedule.
How Refunds Are Processed
Approved refunds are processed by Interstate Mobile Home Movers within 24–48 hours of approval. Funds typically appear back on your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. We do not control the bank or card-network clearance window.
For card payments, refunds go to the original card. For other payment methods, we will confirm the return route with you when your refund is approved.

To request a cancellation or refund, contact us as early as possible — even a phone call days before your written request can preserve more of your deposit. The earlier we know, the more we can release any committed costs and reschedule the date for another customer.
